Your adventure begins just after sunrise, between 6 AM and 7:30 AM, when hot air ballooning flight conditions are best and the morning sunlight enhances the natural beauty of the famous Napa Valley, CA. We generally meet at the Railroad Depot on Lincoln Avenue in Calistoga, CA, and take off near by. Enjoy the exciting experience of watching the crew inflate the balloon!
Floating at the gentle speed of the wind creates an amazing feeling of calm
The Calistoga Hot Air Balloon of Napa Valley crew inflates the balloon to 70%, then with burners add hot air to get it standing upright. When instructed, you and your fellow passengers hop into the hot air balloon's large wicker basket. The crew makes final preparations while your pilot gives you a pre-flight safety briefing. Once everyone is secured and the hot air balloon is ready to go, you begin your gentle ascent above California’s Napa Valley in a hot air balloon. Since you are moving at the exact same speed as the wind, it is amazingly calm and the experience can be likened to taking an escalator a few thousand feet up into the heavens.
Celebrate your journey with an après-flight champagne breakfast at Solage Calistoga
After about an hour of floating and enjoying the breathtaking views of the Napa Valley, CA Wine Country, the hot air balloon will be navigated to a safe landing zone. Touching down is about as gentle as the take off, and once you are on the ground the crew will quickly begin to dismantle the hot air balloon. After everything is packed up, your ballooning party is driven down the road to Solage Calistoga for a champagne breakfast.

Reservations
Are required a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

These, once purchased, are non-refundable, completely transferable, no expiration (*some restrictions may apply)
Time Schedule
Hot air balloon flights begin shortly after sunrise (weather permitting) and will last throughout the morning hours. Plan to spend at least three to four hours with us. Your meeting time will be given at time of booking.
Shuttle
Ask about our complimentary shuttle service within Napa Valley, Sonoma and Santa Rosa when you book your hot air balloon flight with Champage Breakfast at Soalge Calistoga.
Apparel
Ballooning is an outdoor activity, so dress accordingly. Layered Clothing, slacks or casual pants/shorts and comfortable closed-toe walking shoes are preferred dress. The morning may be chilly, but it warms up quickly and it is always warmer in the balloon than on the ground. We recommend a cap or hat to protect heads from radiant heat.
Camera
Definitely bring a camera to capture great photos in the early morning light!
Optional Flight Corridor
When weather does not permit flights in the primary flight location, our secondary flight corridor may be offered to all our balloonists.
Our secondary flight corridor is a 30-minute drive east. "Must Fly" Policy (groups of 7 or more) - If we cannot fly our primary corridor due to weather, you will fly with us in our alternative corridor (Hidden Valley) if conditions allow there.
Cancellation Policy
72 hours before meeting time to avoid charges. Groups of 7 or more - 7 day cancellation policy applies.
Weather related flight cancellations by us are refundable on regular priced reservations.. You will have the opportunity to reschedule on a space available basis if you
choose to do so.
Gift Cards and Gift Certificates are non-refundable (flight cancellations due to weather are also non-refundable) fully transferable and have no expiration date.
